Sharks and swords and panda bears, oh my! Thanks to all 40 households who participated in our neighbourhood’s 6th annual Snow Sculpture Challenge! It is truly inspiring to see all that creativity literally take shape in our neighbourhood in the form of over 46 different snow sculptures!.
We hope you had fun building them, and connecting with neighbours over the course of their construction. Now the fun continues as we enjoy looking at them on neighbourhood walks (at least until spring thaw) — our own little public art gallery (map of locations below)!
This year’s Snow Sculpture Challenge also garnered a bit of media attention! Check out pieces on HOT 100.5FM, on CHVN Radio, in the Winnipeg Free Press Community Review – East, as well as CBC Radio and CTV News.
All those who registered their work of art on the website have been entered into a draw for dozens of awesome prizes, courtesy of our very generous local business sponsors.
To view the sculptures in person, see the map below for locations, or download a printable version here! We also spent the afternoon photographing all of them and will be adding them to the gallery below for posterity.

Thanks to our generous sponsors
This event could not happen without the generous support of our business neighbours. We would like to warmly thank them for their ongoing commitment to the community, and ask you to please show them your support in return.
