Video Game Jamboree Extravaganza
Zip on down to the basement of The Big Red Church (127 Cobourg) at 12-6 pm on November 22rd for the second ever Glenelm Video Game Jamboree Extravaganza and Mario Kart Tournament! We are very excited to be offering a full afternoon of videogames right in our neighbourhood including retro games, prizes, and the all important second ever running of the Glenelm Cup Mario Kart Tournament.
Want to just check things out? Come on down at any time to engage in some videogame fun with your friends and neighbours.
Want to participate in the Mario Kart Tournament? Signups are below with the tournament beginning at 2pm. Winners will once again receive a limited edition red pixelated Glenelm tee, created specially for this event. And when you’re not competing?
Want even more chances to win big? We are offering prizes for the best videogame inspired costume as well as a variety of door prizes just for showing up.
A huge shoutout and thanks to PNP Games and The Nooke Shoppe for providing support and door prizes for this event. Events are only possible with the help of our friends!
Want to know more or register? Letsa go!
How do I participate in the tournament?
Complete this quick form here to let us your name (only first names needed!), an email address we can contact you at.
After registering, stop on by the church and get ready to crush (or be crushed?) by the competition.
How old can a participant for the tournament be?
There is no age limit on either side for participants! Both young and old racers alike are welcome to participate in the tournament (though we might suggest being old enough to know how to use a controller).
How serious is this tournament?
Not serious at all! While we have some prizes including sweet new Mario Kart Glenelm shirts, mostly what’s up for grabs is neighbourhood bragging rights.
When can I register until?
We will be taking registrations until Thursday, November 20th.
Will there be other things to do while we wait?
For sure! Whether you’re waiting until your turn or just want to hang out and try something new, we will have some other, classic video games on hand for you to enjoy. Or, if video games aren’t your thing, you can enjoy some small snacks and visit with your neighbours.
