On Sunday, September 7, come join us at one of GeNA’s longest running events: Picnic in the Park, from 4:30 to 7:30pm at Elmwood (Roxy) Park!
Bring your own picnic supper and enjoy meeting neighbours old and new. There will be lots of fun activities in store, such as:
- New! Share what’s great about your neighbour, and they could win a prize! Chatterbox mobile storytelling studio will be on site (learn more about this project below!)
- Games and activities
- Free 5-minute kids’ portraits courtesy of artist Wayne Elliott
- Winnipeg Public Library community table
There will also be a potluck dessert buffet. If you would like to participate, bring a container of cookies, bars or other individual dessert items to share. Please label your dish with ingredients for the benefit of neighbours with allergies or dietary restrictions.
Park bathrooms will be open.
