It’s Picnic in the Park time!

It’s that time again! Come meet your neighbours and connect with community at the annual Glenelm Picnic in the Park, on Sunday, September 8. The fun starts at 4:30pm at Elmwood (Roxy) Park, 380 Henderson Hwy.

There will be live music, games, face painting, a Winnipeg Public Library table, and more.

What you should bring:

  • A picnic supper for you & your family and something to sit on (chairs, blanket, etc).
  • Something for the dessert potluck! If you’d like to participate, bring a container of cookies, bars or other individual dessert items to share. Please label your dish with ingredients for the benefit of neighbours with allergies or dietary restrictions.
  • Your smile and enthusiasm to meet new neighbours and have fun!

Park bathrooms will be open. The event will wrap up around 7:30pm.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Coming Soon! A Glenelm Kids’ Art Show

Saturday, September 21st is the last day before the Autumn Equinox. It’s also the date of our first ever outdoors Kids Art Show that we are calling Fall into Art. This year’s theme in honour of autumn? Things that Change… but we’re open to most anything.

We’re looking for all the creative kids that make up our neighbourhood to create pieces of art to show off for the neighbourhood. We’re going to set up outdoors at The Big Red Church (127 Cobourg Ave) from 4-7 PM. Not a kid, or don’t feel you have the ability to create art? Stop on by for some small snacks and to show our neighbourhood kids how great they are.
