Be sure to also stop by the GeNA community sale table at 268 Glenwood Cres, where donated items will be sold in support of our association. Happy bargain hunting!
Congratulations to our friends at the Elmwood Business Coalition, who recently launched a website, which features a directory of coalition members and dozens more Elmwood businesses.
Be sure to take a look at the 70+ local businesses right here in Glenelm or a short walk away, and stay tuned for their forthcoming newsletter, which will be a great way to learn about new businesses and initiatives in our area.

The Glenelm Gardening Club is a group of people living in Glenelm who love to garden and help to make Glenelm a more beautiful place.
We help to keep Roxy (Elmwood) Park and Hespeler Park clean by weeding and picking up garbage. All the work we do is supported by the City of Winnipeg Parks Department. We get grants to buy flowers to plant in Roxy park.
We also plant and maintain the flower beds at the Elmwood Cemetery entrance and the butterfly garden in the center of the cemetery.

June 20 – WANG DANG DOODLE OPEN MIC EXTRAVAGANZA: This is the Gordie’s year end fundraiser in support of House of Hesed, an HIV/AIDS home here in Winnipeg. Gordie’s has supported House of Hesed for 17 seasons. Wang Dang Doodle is a fun night of music and silent auction. Admission is $5.00 plus non-perishable tin for the bin.
The community corner at 243 Henderson will be the site of a week’s worth of fun activities for Chalmers Pride, beginning May 27. Events include Zumba, trivia, craft night, dog pride party and 18+ beer gardens. All details here: https://chalmersrenewal.org/chalmers-pride/

It’s official: our neighbourhood has been selected to become the host of a David Suzuki Foundation Butterflyway, a volunteer-led movement that is growing habitat for bees and butterflies in neighbourhoods throughout Canada!

Love Glenelm? Want to show off your community pride? Now’s your chance with our 2024 Glenelm clothing drive.
The Glenelm Neighbourhood Association is happy to offer up limited edition “I [Tree] Glenelm” t-shirts and hoodies from now until May 31st. We are very happy to be working with local Glenelm screen printer The Ink Pad to offer both hoodies and t-shirts in both youth and adult sizes. Items come in green and will let everybody know just how great our community is. All profits from this fundraiser will go directly towards supporting the Glenelm Neighbourhood Association’s work in supporting our community.

Want to try on samples and order in person? We will be at Sweets & Seeds this Saturday, May 18th from 10 AM – 2 PM with sample sizes on site.
