It’s here! Your 2024 Snow Sculpture Challenge Map!

Here is the official map of registered addresses in the 7th Annual Glenelm Snow Sculpture Challenge (we know there are even more sculptures out there, too!)

Grab the printable PDF version of the map here.

A big thank-you to all who sculpted…you’ve brought a lot of joy to the neighbourhood this weekend! We’ve entered all the registered addresses into the draw for participation prizes. We’ll be drawing for the prizes at the Winter Warmer potluck and AGM later today. If we draw your address and you’re not there, we’ll be in touch over the next few days to arrange a prize drop-off.

Photos will added to the website and shared via the newsletter ASAP!

The 7th Annual Glenelm Snow Sculpture Challenge is officially ON!

A big thanks to Mother Nature for at last bringing us an ample supply of snow. It’s exactly what we needed to be able to schedule the 7th Annual Glenelm Snow Sculpture Challenge. We were getting worried there for a bit 🙂

Start thinking about what you’ll create out of snow or ice in your front yard on Saturday, January 27th, 2024.

As always, all sculptures will be entered into a draw for tons of participation prizes and our neighbourhood will be transformed into a snowy art gallery!

So show us your best snow creations! There is no judging – all ages and skill levels are encouraged, and there are dozens of chances for you to win a prize just by participating! Plus, it’ll be lots of fun, we promise!

It’s completely free to participate, but be sure to fill out the short registration form so that we can include you on our map and enter you in the prize draw.

Need more info/ideas/inspiration? Check out glenelm.ca/snow/ for FAQs, photos from previous years and more.

Huge thanks to our sponsors, who make this event possible:

Winter Warmer & 5-Minute GeNA AGM (January 27)

After a big day of snow sculpting, join your neighbours at the Glenelm Winter Warmer, January 27th, 2024 from 4:30pm to 6:30pm at the Big Red Church (127 Cobourg Ave).

This is our mid-winter potluck and community catch-up, and we take care of “the business of GeNA” with our short & sweet 5-minute AGM.

Bring a dish to share (see here for tips on potluck food preparation best practices) and we will provide beverages.

We will also be drawing names for Snow Sculpture Challenge participation prizes! (But don’t worry, you don’t have to be at the Winter Warmer in order to get a prize.)
