New Indoor Location for Tonight’s Screening of Aladdin

Mother Nature has not cooperated with us for outdoor movie night two weekends in a row! Thankfully, we’ve secured an indoor location so that we can still proceed with our movie tonight!!!

The Big Red Church (basement), 127 Cobourg Ave at 8:30pm

Chairs will be available but feel free to bring lawn/camp chairs and blankets to recreate that “under the stars” feeling. Free popcorn while supplies last!

Hope to see you tonight!

Huge thanks to the Big Red Church for so generously offering their space, and as always to Assiniboine Credit Union, the City of Winnipeg, Chalmers Neighbourhood Renewal Corporation… and neighbours like you!

Rescheduled: Family Move in the Park

As you may know, the Family Movie in the Park event from this past weekend had to be postponed at the last minute.

To all those who had come out: thank you for being so understanding, and we hope you enjoyed “Popcorn in the Park” nevertheless!

We are happy to announce the rescheduled date will be this Saturday, August 31 – weather permitting again, of course. Same time & place: 8:30pm at Roxy (Elmwood) Park, 380 Henderson Hwy. The movie will be the new, live-action Aladdin. And there will be popcorn again!

Hope to see you there!

Aug 10th: Meandering Music in Glenelm

On Saturday, August 10th, make your way about the neighbourhood as you take in a handful of front-porch concerts. Inspired by the idea of a progressive dinner party, this event will take you from one street to the next for half-hour musical performances. Bring your lawn chair and clap along to music in the key of (G)lenelm. The music starts at 6:00 pm. Get all the details here!
